Week 6 It's week 6 and I was finally able to submit my box board blocks as well as the women's sleeves and the basic pants drawn on Mahjong paper. During this weeks class Ms. Melina taught us how to make the Shirt from the blocks we had made.  We also learnt how to cut the dart for the shirt as well has how to make the collar. For next class Ms. Melina said we will start on making the shirt.                                

Week 5 In this weeks class Ms. Melina taught us how to construct the skirt from the block we had made previously.   We were able to learn how to make the skirt in one day and also start making the skirt as well. Ms. Melina also showed us how to stich in the Zipper to the skirt.  Unfortunately for me I wasn't able to start sewing the skirt in class due to not having the footers for the machines and zipper for the skirt.                      

Week 4 It's week 4 and we are learning of dart manipulation. Miss Melina had asked us to trace the bodice for us to do understand the different darts.  Miss Melina explained to us how to saw the darts in different ways and gave us to do the dart stitching as homework I'm still a little confused on how to do it but I think once I start on the task I will be able to do understand.

Week 3 It's week 3 and class was packed with learning. Ms. Melina gave us instructions on how to construct the sleeve block. It was a bit difficult to grasp at first. with all the information dump but I think I have grasped the concept.                 Ms. Melina also showed us some ways to practice sewing,  which she told to do as home work, as well as practice sewing different types of seams and different types of hand sewing. I did make a few mistakes while doing these exercises, especially on the continuous curve sewing. By the time I got to do the seams I was a bit familiar with the machine and it wasn't too hard like the sewing practice patterns. I did three types of seams which were Plain open seam, Mock French Seam and Felt felled seam I did these from a home machine which I borrowed from my aunt.                                

Week 2 It's the 2nd week of classes and I missed it due to being unwell, but thanks to my classes mates I was able to catch up on the missed class. We also had an extra class last week which was online. we learned of the different sewing tools and fabric as well as basic fabric weaves. One of the Exercises we were told to do was making the fabric weaves from paper. I had fun making the fabric weaves from paper. I'm also preparing to submit the first pattern drafts for Sunday. Which is the Assignment task 01. We have to draw the pattern for a size 10 Bodice and Skirt. It's a bit confusing to draw but I'm making some progress.
